Electrical Engineer (click to view)

Description Primary duties to include, but not limited to:
Provide technological expertise in the development and design of controllers for IVEK products as well as technological expertise in electrical components of other IVEK products.

Essential Duties & Requirements

Design and develop new products based on state-of-the-art technology and enhance existing products.
Define requirements, design, develop, test, and document software and firmware for IVEK products.
Generate test protocols, test production job-related systems, and new product prototypes.
Assist with the generation of printed circuit board designs, schematics, assembly drawings, wiring diagrams and other engineering documentation or directs others in generation.
Consider all aspects of design and assembly including firmware/software interface and complexity, component selections, arrangement, use, ergonomics, assembly time, testing, and cost.
Moderate interaction is required with customers to develop equipment requirements. Review product manuals for new, custom, and non-standard products and generate content as required.
Minimal travel to customer sites for installation or resolution of problems.
Moderate interaction with vendors to keep abreast of related technology and components, as well as to determine new components and technologies for use in IVEK products.
Work with vendors to improve quality and reduce defects in components used in IVEK products, as well as identifying replacements for obsolete components.
Generate engineering related quality systems documents.
Contribute to and review quality instructions and quality forms related to IVEK products.
Perform any other required department tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis.

Education

Preferred: Bachelor or Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
Minimum: Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering with practical work experience.
